Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.56% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian (MI:PRY), which rose 5.26% or 1.11 points to trade at 22.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) added 3.94% or 4.45 points to end at 117.40 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) was up 3.93% or 0.0216 points to 0.5714 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC), which fell 0.58% or 0.04 points to trade at 7.18 at the close. Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST) declined 0.49% or 0.034 points to end at 6.944 and Snam (MI:SRG) was down 0.27% or 0.010 points to 3.704.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 205 to 154 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.12% or 0.77 to $69.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.06% or 0.83 to hit $78.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.30 to trade at $1203.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.09% to 1.1673, while EUR/GBP fell 0.04% to 0.8876.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 94.16.
