Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which rose 3.91% or 0.1540 points to trade at 4.0940 at the close. Meanwhile, Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 3.61% or 0.74 points to end at 21.25 and Mediaset (MI:MS) was up 2.79% or 0.074 points to 2.731 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salvatore Ferragamo SpA (MI:SFER), which fell 1.68% or 0.33 points to trade at 19.34 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) declined 1.42% or 0.10 points to end at 7.27 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) was down 1.20% or 0.058 points to 4.778.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 210 to 142 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Salvatore Ferragamo SpA (MI:SFER) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.68% or 0.33 to 19.34.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.49% or 0.36 to $73.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.01% or 0.78 to hit $77.89 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.39% or 4.90 to trade at $1260.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.1745, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.8882.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 93.84.
