Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Azimut Holding SpA (MI:AZMT), which rose 2.93% or 0.33 points to trade at 11.41 at the close. Meanwhile, DiaSorin SpA (MI:DIAS) added 2.51% or 2.00 points to end at 81.75 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) was up 2.37% or 0.18 points to 8.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Juventus Football Club (MI:JUVE), which fell 6.75% or 0.1070 points to trade at 1.4790 at the close. Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) declined 2.29% or 0.14 points to end at 5.81 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was down 1.93% or 0.0460 points to 2.3340.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 206 to 157 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.37% or 0.18 to 8.01.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.69% or 1.40 to $53.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.62% or 1.57 to hit $61.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 5.00 to trade at $1308.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1424, while EUR/GBP rose 0.21% to 0.8699.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 95.507.
