Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Travel & Leisure and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Italgas SpA (MI:IG), which rose 2.55% or 0.130 points to trade at 5.230 at the close. Meanwhile, Mediaset (MI:MS) added 2.16% or 0.068 points to end at 3.218 and Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) was up 1.79% or 0.23 points to 13.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which fell 0.83% or 0.090 points to trade at 10.720 at the close. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) declined 0.63% or 0.0045 points to end at 0.7045 and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) was down 0.55% or 0.080 points to 14.520.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 187 to 182 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.41% or 0.24 to $57.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.52% or 0.33 to hit $63.05 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1295.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1882, while EUR/GBP rose 0.54% to 0.8980.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 93.05.
