Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Travel & Leisure and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which rose 4.53% or 0.390 points to trade at 9.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) added 3.20% or 3.80 points to end at 122.45 and Atlantia (MI:ATL) was up 2.50% or 0.62 points to 25.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which fell 1.30% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.6066 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 1.21% or 0.0510 points to end at 4.1690 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) was down 0.82% or 0.06 points to 7.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 176 to 170 and 34 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.30% or 0.0080 to 0.6066.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.91% or 0.64 to $70.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.26% or 0.94 to hit $75.39 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 4.30 to trade at $1242.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1670, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8831.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 94.58.
