Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Utilities and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.42% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Generali (MI:BGN), which rose 3.13% or 0.89 points to trade at 29.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) added 2.09% or 0.310 points to end at 15.160 and Generali (MI:GASI) was up 1.55% or 0.24 points to 15.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI), which fell 1.44% or 0.09 points to trade at 6.14 at the close. Recordati (MI:RECI) declined 1.02% or 0.40 points to end at 39.00 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was down 0.88% or 0.21 points to 23.75.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 216 to 165 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.09% or 0.310 to 15.160.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.08% or 0.04 to $51.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.75% or 0.43 to hit $56.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.71 to trade at $1286.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1806, while EUR/GBP rose 0.54% to 0.8816.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 93.01.
