Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Travel & Leisure and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which rose 4.99% or 0.0312 points to trade at 0.6560 at the close. Meanwhile, Mediaset (MI:MS) added 3.21% or 0.090 points to end at 2.890 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) was up 2.35% or 0.45 points to 19.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which fell 1.48% or 1.70 points to trade at 113.00 at the close. Banca Generali (MI:BGN) declined 1.38% or 0.32 points to end at 22.80 and Recordati (MI:RECI) was down 1.11% or 0.35 points to 31.11.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 242 to 124 and 27 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.56% or 0.39 to $69.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $74.55 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1225.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1654, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8891.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.47.
