Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Recordati (MI:RECI), which rose 6.81% or 2.05 points to trade at 32.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 3.28% or 0.55 points to end at 17.16 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was up 2.45% or 0.93 points to 38.91 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI), which fell 2.70% or 0.1150 points to trade at 4.1410 at the close. UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) declined 1.86% or 0.3160 points to end at 16.6820 and Mediaset (MI:MS) was down 1.27% or 0.040 points to 3.099.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 189 to 183 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tenaris (MI:TENR) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.28% or 0.55 to 17.16. Shares in Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) rose to all time highs; up 2.45% or 0.93 to 38.91.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.24% or 0.17 to $71.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.83% or 0.66 to hit $79.94 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1290.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1807, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8730.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.31.
