Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG), which rose 5.81% or 0.65 points to trade at 11.93 at the close. Meanwhile, Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) added 1.87% or 0.35 points to end at 19.01 and Snam SpA (BIT:SRG) was up 1.84% or 0.08 points to 4.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY), which fell 1.62% or 1.00 points to trade at 60.70 at the close. STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) declined 1.46% or 0.56 points to end at 37.90 and Recordati (BIT:RECI) was down 0.97% or 0.50 points to 51.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 290 to 218 and 44 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.16% or 0.13 to $81.57 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.18% or 0.15 to hit $85.23 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 1.20 to trade at $2,461.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 103.73.
