Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which rose 3.89% or 0.172 points to trade at 4.596 at the close. Meanwhile, UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) added 2.66% or 0.051 points to end at 1.970 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was up 2.64% or 0.1040 points to 4.0440 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which fell 3.10% or 0.1080 points to trade at 3.3720 at the close. Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) declined 1.78% or 1.65 points to end at 91.20 and Exor NV (MI:EXOR) was down 1.17% or 0.60 points to 50.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 185 to 173 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.24% or 0.14 to $57.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.30% or 0.19 to hit $62.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.60% or 7.70 to trade at $1274.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.47% to 1.1903, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8812.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 92.94.
