Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which rose 5.94% or 1.84 points to trade at 32.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) added 1.79% or 1.72 points to end at 97.82 and Exor NV (MI:EXOR) was up 1.74% or 0.94 points to 55.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Juventus Football Club (MI:JUVE), which fell 4.06% or 0.0600 points to trade at 1.4190 at the close. Prysmian SpA (MI:PRY) declined 1.72% or 0.33 points to end at 18.62 and Azimut Holding SpA (MI:AZMT) was down 1.49% or 0.17 points to 11.24.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 190 to 174 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.72% or 1.45 to $54.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.75% or 1.07 to hit $62.27 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.10 to trade at $1310.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1421, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8742.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 95.597.
