Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which rose 5.93% or 0.50 points to trade at 8.93 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) added 4.41% or 0.101 points to end at 2.380 and Banca Generali (MI:BGN) was up 3.83% or 0.80 points to 21.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Terna (MI:TRN), which fell 1.29% or 0.059 points to trade at 4.504 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 1.12% or 0.0420 points to end at 3.7120 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was down 1.09% or 0.45 points to 40.89.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 195 to 161 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.37% or 0.90 to $64.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.69% or 0.52 to hit $74.86 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.10 to trade at $1303.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.57% to 1.1780, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.8780.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 93.54.
