Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Chemicals and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Exor NV (MI:EXOR), which rose 4.10% or 2.20 points to trade at 55.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) added 2.75% or 0.0980 points to end at 3.6640 and Atlantia (MI:ATL) was up 2.07% or 0.56 points to 27.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI), which fell 1.98% or 0.0860 points to trade at 4.2680 at the close. Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) declined 1.69% or 0.084 points to end at 4.894 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was down 1.51% or 0.35 points to 22.79.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 201 to 166 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Exor NV (MI:EXOR) rose to all time highs; rising 4.10% or 2.20 to 55.85. Shares in Atlantia (MI:ATL) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.07% or 0.56 to 27.60.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.80% or 0.90 to $50.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.19% or 1.22 to hit $57.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.82 to trade at $1275.98 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.44% to 1.1709, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8916.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 93.73.
