Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC), which rose 2.61% or 0.18 points to trade at 7.14 at the close. Meanwhile, ENI (MI:ENI) added 1.44% or 0.24 points to end at 16.68 and Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) was up 1.43% or 0.072 points to 5.090 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT), which fell 3.46% or 0.57 points to trade at 16.05 at the close. Prysmian (MI:PRY) declined 2.20% or 0.59 points to end at 26.19 and Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) was down 1.87% or 0.180 points to 9.430.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 182 to 180 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.40% or 0.28 to $70.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.18% or 0.91 to hit $78.03 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1319.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.1975, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 92.24.
