Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which rose 2.65% or 0.61 points to trade at 23.67 at the close. Meanwhile, Mediaset (MI:MS) added 2.46% or 0.078 points to end at 3.244 and Recordati (MI:RECI) was up 2.22% or 0.84 points to 38.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which fell 2.35% or 0.066 points to trade at 2.746 at the close. Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) declined 1.38% or 0.18 points to end at 12.82 and Prysmian (MI:PRY) was down 1.32% or 0.36 points to 26.98.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 185 to 174 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.09% or 0.05 to $57.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.22% or 0.14 to hit $62.59 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.04% or 13.30 to trade at $1264.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1815, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8782.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 93.35.
