Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Luxottica Group SpA (MI:LUX), which rose 4.28% or 2.12 points to trade at 51.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 3.90% or 0.60 points to end at 15.99 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) was up 3.09% or 2.88 points to 96.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which fell 2.86% or 0.28 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) declined 1.88% or 0.039 points to end at 2.038 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was down 1.18% or 0.1380 points to 11.5160.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 182 to 172 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.06% or 1.54 to $51.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.15% or 1.27 to hit $60.36 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1230.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1373, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.8903.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 96.805.
