Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure, Chemicals and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which rose 3.46% or 0.502 points to trade at 14.992 at the close. Meanwhile, Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) added 1.79% or 0.70 points to end at 39.71 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was up 1.73% or 0.26 points to 15.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI), which fell 1.36% or 0.1800 points to trade at 13.0160 at the close. Recordati (MI:RECI) declined 0.94% or 0.29 points to end at 30.43 and A2A (MI:A2) was down 0.94% or 0.015 points to 1.530.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 177 to 174 and 31 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $68.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.16% or 0.12 to hit $76.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 3.80 to trade at $1217.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.56% to 1.1688, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.9062.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 94.63.
