Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII), which rose 2.43% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU) added 1.45% or 1.20 points to end at 84.00 and Hera (BIT:HRA) was up 1.40% or 0.05 points to 3.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which unchanged 1.45% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.22 at the close. Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) declined 1.24% or 0.06 points to end at 4.71 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (BIT:FBK) was down 1.04% or 0.15 points to 14.28.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 268 to 187 and 48 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.20% or 1.76 to $78.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.02% or 1.66 to hit $80.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 4.50 to trade at $2,508.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 102.68.
