Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.24% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 9.72% or 1.15 points to trade at 12.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) added 3.64% or 0.152 points to end at 4.324 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was up 1.82% or 0.3000 points to 16.7600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which fell 2.89% or 3.00 points to trade at 100.80 at the close. Mediaset (MI:MS) declined 2.23% or 0.070 points to end at 3.070 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) was down 1.77% or 0.12 points to 6.67.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 213 to 151 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.20% or 0.11 to $54.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.21% or 0.13 to hit $60.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.14 to trade at $1277.16 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1660, while EUR/GBP rose 1.76% to 0.8926.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 94.61.
