Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (MI:STM), which rose 4.00% or 0.515 points to trade at 13.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 2.98% or 0.38 points to end at 13.13 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) was up 2.88% or 0.47 points to 16.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Recordati (MI:RECI), which fell 3.27% or 1.01 points to trade at 29.92 at the close. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) declined 2.20% or 0.302 points to end at 13.450 and Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (MI:ISP) was down 1.96% or 0.039 points to 1.953.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 239 to 112 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $66.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.18% or 0.14 to hit $76.05 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 6.00 to trade at $1216.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.1317, while EUR/GBP fell 0.63% to 0.8872.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 96.88.
