Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 1.51% or 0.048 points to trade at 3.228 at the close. Meanwhile, UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) added 1.37% or 0.2400 points to end at 17.7800 and Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) was up 1.12% or 0.0340 points to 3.0680 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which fell 2.09% or 0.42 points to trade at 19.71 at the close. A2A (MI:A2) declined 1.27% or 0.018 points to end at 1.395 and Exor NV (MI:EXOR) was down 1.20% or 0.65 points to 53.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 168 to 163 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.40% or 0.19 to $47.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $52.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.39% or 5.09 to trade at $1297.09 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.68% to 1.1880, while EUR/GBP rose 0.04% to 0.9222.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 92.66.
