Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which rose 2.06% or 0.1020 points to trade at 5.0620 at the close. Meanwhile, Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) added 2.04% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.5000 and A2A (MI:A2) was up 1.68% or 0.024 points to 1.448 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI), which fell 3.76% or 0.37 points to trade at 9.46 at the close. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) declined 1.94% or 0.60 points to end at 30.32 and Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) was down 1.57% or 0.28 points to 17.57.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 195 to 154 and 32 ended unchanged.
Shares in Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.76% or 0.37 to 9.46.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.22% or 0.16 to $71.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $80.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 7.80 to trade at $1229.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.1589, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.8802.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 94.69.
