Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which rose 3.44% or 0.32 points to trade at 9.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST) added 2.34% or 0.172 points to end at 7.520 and Recordati (MI:RECI) was up 2.33% or 0.73 points to 32.11 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Juventus Football Club (MI:JUVE), which fell 3.29% or 0.0440 points to trade at 1.2950 at the close. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) declined 1.66% or 0.250 points to end at 14.820 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was down 1.24% or 0.1220 points to 9.6900.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 181 to 176 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.72% or 0.95 to $54.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.45% or 0.28 to hit $62.47 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.65 to trade at $1318.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1436, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.8758.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 95.560.
