Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Utilities and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which rose 1.81% or 0.0102 points to trade at 0.5748 at the close. Meanwhile, Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) added 1.78% or 0.064 points to end at 3.663 and Recordati (MI:RECI) was up 1.76% or 0.49 points to 28.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which fell 2.47% or 0.73 points to trade at 28.78 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) declined 1.89% or 0.20 points to end at 10.62 and Banco Bpm SpA (MI:BAMI) was down 1.57% or 0.033 points to 2.068.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 178 to 173 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tenaris (MI:TENR) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.89% or 0.20 to 10.62.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.31% or 0.16 to $51.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.43% or 0.26 to hit $59.65 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.30 to trade at $1227.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.63% to 1.1321, while EUR/GBP fell 0.45% to 0.8870.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 97.110.
