Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII), which rose 2.95% or 0.138 points to trade at 4.816 at the close. Meanwhile, Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) added 2.93% or 0.68 points to end at 23.85 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) was up 2.39% or 0.078 points to 3.336 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Luxottica Group (MI:LUX), which fell 1.51% or 0.72 points to trade at 46.81 at the close. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) declined 1.30% or 0.32 points to end at 24.25 and Mediaset (MI:MS) was down 0.89% or 0.026 points to 2.910.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 185 to 170 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.54% or 0.28 to $51.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.16% or 0.68 to hit $57.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.63% or 8.31 to trade at $1303.19 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.1784, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8769.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 92.90.
