Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Recordati (MI:RECI), which rose 2.89% or 0.84 points to trade at 29.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Tenaris (MI:TENR) added 2.39% or 0.34 points to end at 14.58 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) was up 1.20% or 0.07 points to 6.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prysmian (MI:PRY), which fell 1.85% or 0.49 points to trade at 26.05 at the close. Italgas SpA (MI:IG) declined 1.55% or 0.071 points to end at 4.517 and Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) was down 1.35% or 0.0540 points to 3.9350.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 198 to 161 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.58% or 0.37 to $63.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.45% or 0.30 to hit $67.34 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.70 to trade at $1333.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.2304, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.8815.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 89.83.
