Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 3.00% or 0.39 points to trade at 13.41 at the close. Meanwhile, Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) added 1.87% or 0.56 points to end at 30.50 and Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) was up 1.81% or 0.0620 points to 3.4920 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which fell 3.49% or 0.164 points to trade at 4.538 at the close. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) declined 3.00% or 0.1220 points to end at 3.9400 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was down 2.84% or 0.66 points to 22.61.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 198 to 163 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.05% or 0.61 to $57.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.36% or 0.88 to hit $63.81 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.60% or 7.50 to trade at $1239.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.1720, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8797.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 94.20.
