Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.04% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Mediobanca Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA (BIT:MDBI), which rose 1.66% or 0.24 points to trade at 14.74 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) added 1.26% or 0.03 points to end at 2.42 and Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY) was up 1.25% or 0.78 points to 63.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which fell 2.88% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.23 at the close. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) declined 2.32% or 0.44 points to end at 18.38 and Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) was down 1.95% or 0.59 points to 29.67.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 262 to 237 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.26% or 0.03 to 2.42. Shares in Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY) rose to all time highs; rising 1.25% or 0.78 to 63.38.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.18% or 1.71 to $76.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.93% or 1.59 to hit $80.81 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 10.75 to trade at $2,405.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 104.19.
