Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which rose 2.67% or 0.40 points to trade at 15.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) added 1.46% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.6950 and Campari (MI:CPRI) was up 1.35% or 0.12 points to 8.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (MI:BMPS), which fell 3.29% or 0.0106 points to trade at 0.3120 at the close. CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) declined 2.15% or 0.135 points to end at 6.130 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) was down 2.00% or 0.2500 points to 12.2800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 203 to 165 and 39 ended unchanged.
Shares in Campari (MI:CPRI) rose to all time highs; up 1.35% or 0.12 to 8.99.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.81% or 0.81 to $43.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.80% or 0.83 to hit $45.37 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.75% or 9.95 to trade at $1321.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.0964, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.8372.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.61% at 97.53.
