Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Resources and Food sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Reds (AT:CAMr), which rose 9.39% or 0.029 points to trade at 0.338 at the close. Meanwhile, Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) added 5.39% or 0.09 points to end at 1.76 and Korres (AT:KRRr) was up 5.26% or 0.19 points to 3.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hygeia (AT:HYGr), which fell 6.36% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.103 at the close. ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) declined 4.71% or 1.09 points to end at 22.05 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was down 3.99% or 0.019 points to 0.457.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 40 and 4 ended unchanged.
Gold for April delivery was up 0.94% or 10.50 to $1126.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 4.60% or 1.54 to hit $32.08 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 3.71% or 1.33 to trade at $34.66 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.0888, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.7582.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.45% at 99.15.
