Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 2.07% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 1.87% or 360 points to trade at 19580 at the close. Meanwhile, Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 0.25% or 6 points to end at 2415 and Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT) was unchanged 0.00% or 0 points to 4774 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 14.36% or 171 points to trade at 1020 at the close. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 5.10% or 1080 points to end at 20100 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) was down 4.94% or 320 points to 6160.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 335 to 52 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) fell to all time lows; down 14.36% or 171 to 1020. Shares in Perrigo (TA:PRGO) fell to 5-year lows; losing 5.10% or 1080 to 20100.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 3.92% or 1.89 to $46.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.25% or 1.86 to hit $55.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 3.20 to trade at $1259.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.21% to 3.7684, while EUR/ILS rose 0.57% to 4.3026.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 96.148.
