Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.95% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 2.58% or 32 points to trade at 1272 at the close. Meanwhile, Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) fell 0.04% or 1 points to end at 2469 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was down 0.27% or 24 points to 9016 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which fell 6.29% or 581 points to trade at 8663 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 3.50% or 78 points to end at 2152 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was down 3.29% or 102 points to 2997.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 436 to 54 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.64% or 0.46 to $72.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.63% or 0.46 to hit $73.89 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 4.05 to trade at $1798.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.33% to 3.2815, while EUR/ILS rose 0.77% to 3.8851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 92.412.
