Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Insurance and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 1.55%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 2.10% or 1,350.00 points to trade at 65,590.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) added 1.32% or 8.10 points to end at 620.00 and Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) was up 0.87% or 600.00 points to 69,500.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which fell 4.56% or 144.00 points to trade at 3,016.00 at the close. Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) declined 4.27% or 270.00 points to end at 6,050.00 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE) was down 4.05% or 185.00 points to 4,380.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 313 to 164 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.76% or 2.40 to $84.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.96% or 1.84 to hit $92.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 2.25 to trade at $1,779.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.46% to 3.43, while EUR/ILS rose 0.90% to 3.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 106.21.
