Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.54% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG), which rose 2.28% or 480 points to trade at 21520 at the close. Meanwhile, Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) added 1.47% or 92 points to end at 6371 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was up 1.47% or 270 points to 18640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 13.34% or 503 points to trade at 3267 at the close. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) declined 6.55% or 15.9 points to end at 227.0 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 5.76% or 40 points to 660.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 252 to 126 and 32 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.87% or 1.70 to $57.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.94% or 1.33 to hit $67.34 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.85 to trade at $1280.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.13% to 3.6147, while EUR/ILS fell 0.08% to 4.0254.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 98.020.
