Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Oil & Gas and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 1.46%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which rose 1.90% or 131 points to trade at 7011 at the close. Meanwhile, Shufersal (TASE:SAE) added 1.66% or 38 points to end at 2331 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) was up 1.52% or 106 points to 7089 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG), which fell 7.56% or 182 points to trade at 2225 at the close. Melisron (TASE:MLSR) declined 5.73% or 790 points to end at 13000 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE) was down 4.84% or 176 points to 3460.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 274 to 111 and 29 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.71% or 0.29 to $40.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.51% or 0.22 to hit $43.30 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.55% or 10.00 to trade at $1819.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.09% to 3.4508, while EUR/ILS rose 0.65% to 3.9110.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 96.433.
