Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Insurance and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 1.35%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 1.85% or 1,250.00 points to trade at 68,900.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) added 0.71% or 110.00 points to end at 15,500.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 0.42% or 13.00 points to 3,074.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which fell 5.04% or 1,730.00 points to trade at 32,620.00 at the close. Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) declined 3.92% or 259.00 points to end at 6,350.00 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) was down 3.79% or 1,080.00 points to 27,380.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 325 to 169 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.75% or 1.54 to $86.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.98% or 1.86 to hit $92.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.57% or 27.25 to trade at $1,713.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.67% to 3.42, while EUR/ILS rose 0.45% to 3.42.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.16% at 109.36.
