Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 1.34%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 0.96% or 200 points to trade at 21100 at the close. Meanwhile, Mazor Robotics (TA:MZOR) added 0.28% or 30 points to end at 10860 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was up 0.28% or 4 points to 1413 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which fell 5.70% or 362 points to trade at 5988 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 3.71% or 4100 points to end at 106500 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was down 3.40% or 38 points to 1079.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 251 to 130 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.40% or 0.21 to $53.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.88% or 0.54 to hit $62.23 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 4.30 to trade at $1243.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.28% to 3.7341, while EUR/ILS rose 0.23% to 4.2376.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 96.822.
