Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Insurance, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 1.32% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which rose 1.87% or 4.2 points to trade at 229.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Isramco Negev 2 LP (TASE:ISRAp) added 1.16% or 0.4 points to end at 34.9 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 0.89% or 190 points to 21420 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 7.38% or 255 points to trade at 3201 at the close. Perrigo (TASE:PRGO) declined 6.54% or 1060 points to end at 15140 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 4.79% or 32 points to 646.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 286 to 95 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) fell to 5-year lows; losing 7.38% or 255 to 3201. Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) fell to all time lows; down 4.79% or 32 to 646.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 5.69% or 3.22 to $53.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 5.57% or 3.64 to hit $61.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1311.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.11% to 3.6261, while EUR/ILS rose 0.34% to 4.0539.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 97.675.
