Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.24%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1), which rose 2.17% or 41 points to trade at 1931 at the close. Meanwhile, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 1.79% or 510 points to end at 29050 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was up 1.40% or 210 points to 15200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were International Flavors & Fragrances Inc (TASE:IFF), which fell 4.99% or 2380 points to trade at 45330 at the close. Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) declined 4.86% or 2910 points to end at 57000 and Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TASE:FATTAL) was down 4.59% or 2410 points to 50090.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 250 to 132 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.88% or 0.45 to $51.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.15% or 0.64 to hit $56.43 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 7.40 to trade at $1579.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.18% to 3.4242, while EUR/ILS fell 0.45% to 3.7125.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 98.968.
