Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Communication and Biomed sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 1.20%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 1.64% or 25 points to trade at 1552 at the close. Meanwhile, Harel (TASE:HARL) added 0.28% or 9 points to end at 3179 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was up 0.22% or 40 points to 18350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which fell 6.62% or 1300 points to trade at 18350 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) declined 3.74% or 1020 points to end at 26270 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) was down 3.72% or 50 points to 1295.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 292 to 150 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Harel (TASE:HARL) rose to 5-year highs; up 0.28% or 9 to 3179.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.39% or 0.25 to $64.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.60% or 0.41 to hit $67.98 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.74% or 12.75 to trade at $1743.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.27% to 3.2811, while EUR/ILS rose 0.38% to 3.9304.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 91.403.
