Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.20%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 1.03% or 21 points to trade at 2065 at the close. Meanwhile, Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) added 0.73% or 1.4 points to end at 191.9 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 0.49% or 500 points to 103500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which fell 3.74% or 660 points to trade at 17010 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) declined 3.19% or 660 points to end at 20050 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was down 2.70% or 8.7 points to 314.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 242 to 136 and 37 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.26% or 1.81 to $57.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.28% or 1.49 to hit $66.85 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 5.85 to trade at $1322.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.08% to 3.6147, while EUR/ILS fell 0.30% to 4.1098.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 96.007.
