Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Biomed and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.13%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which rose 1.07% or 890 points to trade at 84100 at the close. Meanwhile, Poalim (TASE:POLI) added 0.42% or 11 points to end at 2632 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 0.11% or 2 points to 1904 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 5.49% or 41 points to trade at 708 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) declined 3.06% or 176 points to end at 5574 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was down 3.04% or 128 points to 4076.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 261 to 123 and 39 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 5.34% or 3.28 to $58.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 4.80% or 3.41 to hit $67.58 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.87% or 11.10 to trade at $1285.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.03% to 3.6114, while EUR/ILS rose 0.22% to 4.0350.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 97.727.
