Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Technology and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 1.10%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which rose 0.76% or 41 points to trade at 5471 at the close. Meanwhile, Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) added 0.69% or 16 points to end at 2347 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) was up 0.54% or 1.8 points to 337.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Matrix (TASE:MTRX), which fell 5.12% or 396 points to trade at 7345 at the close. Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) declined 4.59% or 1020 points to end at 21180 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was down 4.26% or 174 points to 3906.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 294 to 141 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.24% or 0.13 to $53.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $56.05 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.80 to trade at $1864.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.23% to 3.2725, while EUR/ILS rose 0.56% to 3.9743.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 90.183.
