Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.10%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TASE:FATTAL), which rose 4.63% or 2110 points to trade at 47710 at the close. Meanwhile, Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) added 2.88% or 330 points to end at 11800 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE) was up 2.58% or 125 points to 4965 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 13.29% or 351 points to trade at 2290 at the close. Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) declined 5.88% or 3090 points to end at 49500 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was down 4.19% or 3610 points to 82650.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 219 to 177 and 28 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was down 4.66% or 2.50 to $51.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 4.12% or 2.43 to hit $56.51 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.45% or 36.35 to trade at $1520.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.22% to 3.4772, while EUR/ILS rose 0.11% to 3.9066.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 97.170.
