Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Insurance and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.04% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 3.84% or 49 points to trade at 1325 at the close. Meanwhile, Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TA:FATTAL) added 3.59% or 1410.00 points to end at 40700.00 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was up 1.22% or 5.0 points to 414.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which fell 3.54% or 265 points to trade at 7230 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) declined 3.05% or 580 points to end at 18420 and Liveperson (TA:LPSN) was down 2.54% or 203 points to 7780.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 303 to 87 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.54% or 265 to 7230.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.90% or 1.39 to $71.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.08% or 1.73 to hit $81.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.18% or 26.00 to trade at $1219.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.03% to 3.6333, while EUR/ILS rose 0.43% to 4.2015.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 94.94.
