Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Communication and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.97%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shufersal (TASE:SAE), which rose 6.07% or 142 points to trade at 2482 at the close. Meanwhile, Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) added 2.43% or 96 points to end at 4045 and Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) was up 2.09% or 430 points to 21000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which fell 9.39% or 361 points to trade at 3483 at the close. Energix (TASE:ENRG) declined 2.91% or 46 points to end at 1536 and Harel (TASE:HARL) was down 2.90% or 68 points to 2276.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 263 to 139 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) rose to all time highs; up 2.09% or 430 to 21000.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.14% or 0.06 to $43.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.20% or 0.09 to hit $45.37 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 2.07% or 41.75 to trade at $1971.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.05% to 3.4019, while EUR/ILS fell 0.37% to 4.0414.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 92.700.
