Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Insurance and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.92%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT), which rose 2.81% or 30 points to trade at 1098 at the close. Meanwhile, Leumi (TASE:LUMI) added 2.10% or 36 points to end at 1748 and Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) was up 2.01% or 1560 points to 79120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 19.56% or 278 points to trade at 1143 at the close. Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) declined 4.62% or 7390 points to end at 152500 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was down 3.87% or 51 points to 1266.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 216 to 176 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.01% or 1560 to 79120.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.22% or 0.53 to $42.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.36% or 0.63 to hit $45.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.97% or 18.95 to trade at $1933.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.70% to 3.3750, while EUR/ILS fell 0.86% to 3.9860.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 93.078.
