Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Insurance and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp), which rose 36.68% or 267.80 points to trade at 998.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) added 17.13% or 5,840.00 points to end at 39,940.00 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was up 7.22% or 388.00 points to 5,759.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which fell 6.43% or 2,380.00 points to trade at 34,660.00 at the close. Harel (TASE:HARL) declined 5.09% or 162.00 points to end at 3,018.00 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was down 4.58% or 177.00 points to 3,688.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 229 to 220 and 40 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.25% or 0.91 to $73.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.98% or 0.76 to hit $78.52 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.77% or 15.15 to trade at $1,986.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.79% to 3.55, while EUR/ILS fell 0.40% to 3.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 102.15.
