Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN), which rose 2.59% or 52 points to trade at 2063 at the close. Meanwhile, Melisron (TASE:MLSR) added 2.19% or 420 points to end at 19620 and Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) was up 1.10% or 21 points to 1935 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 4.89% or 68 points to trade at 1324 at the close. Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) declined 3.99% or 263 points to end at 6336 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was down 2.21% or 560 points to 24770.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 262 to 191 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Melisron (TASE:MLSR) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.19% or 420 to 19620.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.46% or 0.27 to $59.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.32% or 0.20 to hit $63.15 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.75% or 13.05 to trade at $1731.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.26% to 3.2963, while EUR/ILS rose 0.33% to 3.9272.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 92.097.
