Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which rose 3.45% or 930.00 points to trade at 27,890.00 at the close. Meanwhile, NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) added 2.80% or 1,810.00 points to end at 66,510.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 1.91% or 31.00 points to 1,651.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which fell 7.72% or 6,660.00 points to trade at 79,600.00 at the close. Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT) declined 7.36% or 3,440.00 points to end at 43,280.00 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was down 3.44% or 216.00 points to 6,065.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 230 to 224 and 85 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.81% or 1.44 to $81.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.43% or 1.20 to hit $84.93 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 2.70 to trade at $2,470.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.56% to 3.64, while EUR/ILS rose 0.89% to 3.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 103.50.
